If you have been enrolled in a workshop since Fall 2019, you will need your username and password to complete your registration. If you have not enrolled in a workshop, you will create an account during the registration process. Please read our Covid Response Plan if you are interested in attending.

Students interested in a scholarship to attend our programming should not apply to be on the waiting list. Those applications can be found online at: www.penland.slideroom.com.
Housing assignments are made on a first, come-first, served basis. We cannot honor requests for specific rooms or buildings. We do our best to match students with the type of housing they request, but this is not always possible. If the housing preference selected is not available, we will contact you to discuss alternate options. Note: we only house people enrolled in workshop.

Blow Your Mind: A Beginner’s Guide to Glassblowing
In this introductory workshop you will learn the fundamentals of glassblowing and gain the skills needed to create your own unique glass objects. We will start with the basics of gathering and shaping molten glass and then progress to blowing bubbles, adding color, and creating patterns. With hands-on practice and close instruction, you’ll leave with new skills and a new appreciation for the art of glassblowing.Beginning level. Hot glass studio.
